⌛Memory Book Consent Form Deadline April 15

Planning for Grade 7 Memory Book is underway!  We need help from parents of Division 1, 2, 16F, 17F, and 22F:

  • Ask your kids about the Memory Book consent form!  Please complete and return to the office or classroom teacher by April 15th!
  • We also need you to submit photos of field trips and other class events!  Please contact thedouglaspac@gmail.com for instructions.
  • This will be the only chance for your child to be included in a timeless record of their last year at Douglas before going to high school!

Memory Book for Division 1, 2, 16F, 17F, and 22F will be available for order at $8/book on Munch-a-Lunch starting in the next two weeks.  Delivery date is expected to be June 14th.

Walkathon pledge form

Pledges are due May 3, 2024. If you don’t have the form you can download it here. Online pledges can be accessed via the QR code.

Remember, we have a bunch of end of life technology coming up in the next 5 years that will need over $50,000 to replace. Pledges help insure we can acquire the new technology for our children’s education. AI is the future and proficiency with technology is essential.

The Douglas Walk-a-Thon is coming on Friday, May 3!

The annual fundraising and spirit event is just around the corner. Watch for pledge forms next week in your child’s agenda and get your kids’ walking shoes ready. Every child will receive a Douglas flyer (like a Frisbee) as a thank you for participating. Here is what you can do to support this fun event:

  • Ask family and friends for $5 each to support our kids: money raised helps pay for our kids’ technology (like IPads), sports equipment, classroom supplies, and cultural events. We are asking each child to raise $25 in total.
  • Volunteer: sign up HERE to cheer the kids on and make this event a success.
  • Get Walking: preparing for the Walk-a-Thon is a great reason to get out and walk as a family this spring.

Our goal this year is to raise a total of $15,000. Thank you in advance for making one of our biggest fundraisers of the year a success!

Douglas Elementary Spring T-shirt and Water Bottle Sale (order by March 15, 2024)

We have Douglas Dragons Water bottles and T-shirts available for sale. Both are
$15 each.
Our first order of this year will close on Friday, March 15, 2024.
Water bottles and T-shirts will be ready for the first week of April.

The water bottle is made with Tritan plastic that’s free from BPA, BPS, and other
bisphenols. It is commonly used in food contact items. Tritan is safe and doesn’t contain
any dangerous chemicals with adverse health effects. It is the same type of plastic that
Nalgene used to make their water bottles. The water bottle holds 27 oz of your
favourite cold beverage. It has a threaded dual-opening lid, hinged cap, and carrying
handle. It has the Douglas Dragons logo.

The school office will have sizing samples of the clothing for you to look at. Err on the
larger side as your kids are growing.

Orders may be placed through the munchalunch website at http://www.munchalunch.com.
